Databending

Databending is a technique used to manipulate digital data, typically video or image files, using software or hardware in unintended ways to create unique and unexpected effects. The term "databending" is derived from the words "data" and "bending," which refer to the intentional alteration of digital information.

I'll be using a technique of databending which takes a video file, opens it in an audio editor (such as audacity), put an audio effect on the data then converts it back to a video.

Here's a video I made earlier in the year trying this technique. I used the audio effect "amplify (-5 db)" in this example.
